Thickness of Pantyhose

Thickness of Pantyhose
Thickness of pantyhose is defined by the thickness of the fiber.

It is put into Denier (Den on the packaging).

The thickness of the

Sheerest pantyhose is 6-15 Denier, they are designed for hot weather and for going out.

Pantyhose for everyday wear have thickness 15-20 Denier.

Semi-season pantyhose have 20-40 Denier
Pantyhose for cold weather have 50-180 Denier (they also contain microfiber, cotton, acryl or wool).
The more there’s lycra in the pantyhose and the more their thickness is, the higher their quality is. Hosiery that have the word “microcotton” on the label are also considered as thick pantyhose.

They are pantyhose “Si-Si” and “Omsa”. Outside they look like usual thick pantyhose, but inside they have natural cotton which is very comfortable for winter
